OBITUARY of Carol Ann Maguire

Carol Ann (Maguire) Withrow passed away unexpectedly on June 9, 2013, in Fountain, CO. Born on March 10, 1944, in Seattle, she was the eldest child of Carolyne (Swanson) and Joe Maguire. She graduated from Holy Rosary High School and Seattle University, became a teacher, and worked with the Children's Home Society in WA and The Soho Center in VA. Retired, she enjoyed volunteering in the gift shop at Island Hospital in Anacortes, along with many other activities. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, cousin, aunt, and friend who will be dearly missed and remembered. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Jack Withrow, daughters Andrea Sobocinski (Konrad) and Emily Withrow, granddaughters Ryana & Natalia Sobocinski, brothers Mike (Sue) and Dan (Peggy) Maguire, as well as aunts, uncles, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Island Hospital Foundation or Angel Band Project. A Celebration of Carol's life will be held on June 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 404 Douglas St, La Conner, WA 98257, with a reception to follow.
